Richard Hunter Missing –  LAPD Issues Silver Alert for Missing 74-Year-Old Man with Alzheimer’s in Venice, CA

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has issued a Silver Alert for a 74-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease who has gone missing from the Venice area. Richard Hunter, who suffers from cognitive impairments, was last seen on Saturday, walking from his residence located in the 2300 block of Wilson Avenue at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Hunter is described as a white male, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 195 pounds. He has gray hair, a gray mustache, and brown eyes. When last seen, he was wearing a black hat, a gray jacket, dark pants, and gray shoes.

The LAPD is urging anyone who may have information regarding Hunter’s whereabouts to immediately contact the Pacific Area Watch Commander at 310-482-6334. If calling after hours, individuals are encouraged to dial 877-527-3247. Alternatively, information can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.

Silver Alerts are issued by law enforcement agencies such as the California Highway Patrol to help locate at-risk individuals, including those with Alzheimer’s, in the hopes of ensuring their safe return.

As authorities continue to search for Hunter, they ask the community to stay vigilant and report any relevant information that might assist in locating the missing man.
